ICS Sanctioned Chili Cook-Off
The Floresville Peanut Festival is excited to announce our first annual ICS sanctioned Chili Cook-off.
The winner will qualify to attend the 2012 ICS Worlds Championship Chili Cook-off and a chance to win $25,000.00.
Competitors must be members of ICS, see below for applications and membership information.
Menudo Cookoff
The Floresville Peanut Festival is holding a Menudo category during the Cook-off.
Menudo is a staple of South Texas, especially on Sundays. Tradition dictates that
Menudo can help relieve a hangover and has other medicinal qualities. Best of all its
delicious on a Sunday! Menudo cooks take great pride in their recipes. Many Menudo
recipes are passed down through the family for generations. Most recipes are tightly
guarded secrets. Is yours the best?
Peoples Choice Chili
Bring your appetite! Just like Menudo, chili is a common dish in Texas.
Every cook knows without any doubt they have the absolute best chili around.
Put your chili where your mouth is and enter! Spectators are given bowls to sample
each cooks chili. A favorite choice is made and placed in a ballot box.
The cook with the most votes wins!
Entry Fees
ICS Chili Red Chili - ICS Member: $10
Peoples Choice Chili - $20 and 2 gallons of Chili
Menudo - $20 and 2 gallons of Menudo
Cost for all entries paid separate plus $50 ICS membership = $100
If all 3 categories are entered prior to Monday, October 3rd; Price includes ICS membership
and a chance to qualify for the $25,000 ICS Worlds Championship Chili Cookoff = $80.
If you are already a member of ICS and enter all 3 categories prior to Monday, October 3rd = $30.
If entering all three categories, both applications (ICS Chili and Menudo/Peoples Choice Chili) must be completed.

Peanut Festival Ranch Rodeo Finals
The Ranch Rodeo is an event that serves as a living tribute to our Texas heritage. The Ranch Rodeo
promotes our unique history and the western lifestyle by featuring competition between real cowboys from real working Texas ranches.
The cowboys and their ranch horses complete in events that showcase the necessary skills and know how ranch hands
practice daily on today's Texas ranches. The Ranch Rodeo's events require the same teamwork ranch hands use in their everyday lives.
Spectators enjoy action, excitement, thrills, and laughs in a wholesome environment as they root for their favorite teams.
